This week has started up rather well. Busy, but very good.
We received our first G5 last week at work, and the new 22 mpixel Leaf Valeo. I took it home this past weekend to figure out all the neat lil gadgets and stuff that it can do. Wicked camera.
At work today a New York Times reporter came by and interviewed Robert, my manager. We did a lil' demo for him of the digital photography process and Robert blew his mind with loads of crap. We shot a portrait of him and made a 12x18 print in about two minutes, which also blew his mind.
So in the near future, keep your eyes out for an article in the New York Times magazine about ColorEdge Capture! I'll keep you posted.
I was working on a few things at the office late tonight. Everyone had left except me and Ron, one of the network guys. He was off frolicking upstairs while I was working on some stuff. About 6:45pm rolls around and Ron walks in.
"Clint we have a few students from Parson's School of Design, would you mind doing a little digital demo for them? Nothing special just a quick something about the process and what you do here. I just got dragged into this myself, I'd really appreciate it."
Ok another demo for a few people, no biggy. I'm expecting 4 or 5 students. I turn on the G5, and set up the new Leaf camera on the Hasselblad 555ELD. Turn around and in walks a few kids, then a few more, then a few more.. then a few more.. before I know it there are like 17 students standing there staring at me.
"Uh... Hi I'm Clint."
It was cool, I had fun. Senior Digital Specialist Clint at your service.
Monday I had a photo shoot with my favorite marketing manager ever, Norah. Those closest to her, such as myself, refer to her as H. On this shoot I wore my new threads along with the shoes. But there was still something missing..
Before I knew it Nikki, the hair stylist was putting industrial styling goop in my hair. (It finally washed out after my 3rd shower). I look over and Norah is talking with Beverly, and they are both looking at Nikki and I.
"We are going to give you a make-over." Norah says. Nikki agrees and offers to make dinner for the occasion, and cut my hair. At first I didn't know whether to be excited or terrified. But after mulling it over, I sincerely hope it does happen. It would be a total riot.
H! You better plan it! I'll do so much more than just get you a bottle of wine.
